I'll let you know Marc. I'll either be here or Danville. Once this storm is gone I'm truck'n it back south for a few more days but don't know when I'll return just yet. I don't mind standby, we're getting paid but it's boring.
Spin that storm and bring me snow! |

12 to 14 in snow fall, worked for 39 hrs with no sleep driving the plow truck and the guy in the bob cat only slept 5 hrs. Went through 3 tanks of gas on the truck. Bobcat has side glass but no door and no heat, It will have heat next week. VA beech is only 45 min. away from me [ i would never go there to plow ] but the news tonight said they were spending 40k a day on snow clean up.

Regarding the storm.......we didn't get your accumulation.
I drove 4hrs home Friday night, had Christmas with my family and drove 5hrs back north Saturday night for the storm. Went on the clock and sat standby for 17.5hrs x 3 trucks to get NO accumulation. Slept 4 hours and then drove 4hrs back south. Additionally, two guys had to drive in, cutting Christmas short, with one driving 8hrs and the other 6hrs during the storm................for nothing. Ho Ho Ho!! |

So far so good for me. I have one of those cases that make the phone look like a volunteer fire fighter pager.

Tthomas,
Great work. I looked through your pics. I especially liked the VT ones as I went to school there as well. I am down in the Hampton Roads area, however we do snow removal from here to up there. I would recommend getting pusher boxes for your bobcats. They save an unbelievable amount of time. Also would recommend the Polar Tracks for your 190 and 250. PM me for more info; we have a good, cheap source for this stuff. Makes a world of difference; especially in larger accumulations. I take it you got your Boss plows for ESI ? Best of luck to you in the 2011 season. Last edited by McLandscapingInc; 01-02-2011 at 10:52 AM. |
