So how many hours do you have on that bobcat now? It sure looks like its getting its fair share. Didn't you buy it this spring? Just curious- How much was it?

Bought it right around July 1st with 460hrs and it flipped 630hrs yesterday.

Bobcat T-190
-460hrs, perfect, anal compulsive cared for
-36" auger (never used), love and want a bigger one
-24" auger (used twice)
-Forks
-Snow bucket
-Tooth bucket
-*16' Brimar dump trailer....12,000lb rating, I hate that and think Brimar should be slapped, the trailer should be rated 14-16k, it weighs 3700lbs
$31,700ish

Love the machine. Its got noise qwuirks about it but I didn't buy it for taking a vacation trip. It is solid and does the job I ask of it without issue. All I've had to do is feed it diesel, changed the air filters and now I've popped the door off so I need two $6 hinges.

170hrs I've used it divided by 8hrs rental equals 21.xx rentals.......say 22... X $300 daily rental = $6,600 of rental fees saved. I've probably billed around $10,000 for it since I got it. Now, don't go dividing that by the hours I've used it. Every job is different and often times I throw it on the truck just to help us take care of something in a faster more effiecent way. I've been charging about $75 hr to those I do lots of work for. Otherwise you look at $1200-$1500ish a day for the Bobcat + operator + 2 laborers. I don't do a ton of Bobcat specific work so I don't really have a set hourly rate. The machine is paid for.

Hume, VA......8 miles off the interstate and close to nothing. Jobsite is 45 miles away. Its a hike but I don't mind. You have to make sure you have everything you need, and some, but I enjoy getting away sometimes. Good thing about this industry is you never know where you're going to be or what you will be doing. The 'big job' we've been on is about 35 miles away.

In today's stressful city world, a development of $1-1.5mil houses away from the city would be pretty successful IMO. There's a small pocket about 20mins from me that I know about that sold out pretty fast.

Can you define what it means when you say you have billed $10k of bobcat work? Does that mean soely bobcat work not including materials?

I have either billed directly for its use or included in my proposal a total quantity of money that is probably close to $10,000. The only thing to take from that $10,000 would be the expense of the diesel and the $55 for new filters. I want to say I noticed about $30 diesel per 8hrs operating??

I bought the machine out right when I purchased it with a certified check.......no payments. It was also a private purchase. The guy was getting up in age a little and down sizing. The funny part was his expression when I told him I'd take it. Another person was showing up to look at it while I was talking to him. Told him not to bother, its sold haha.
