How big of a rootball did those trees have? What caliper are the trees? Have you thought about getting a boom for bnbs? I am getting a boom that slips over my forks made... should be pretty cheap and not have another attachment lying around.

The trees are 6" Weeping Willows. The availability and access became an issue on this job. Yeah access is hard to imagine with the picture of rural America but the slope getting to the part of the property was not possible to pass with a spade truck and the customer did not want us to make him a road. Basically he would have flipped and hoped he stopped before going into the pond.

I provided only labor on this job and glad for it.......those 6" Willows only had 36" balls. Way to small but its what was available. The grower is an idiot.

The most distance traveled with a tree on this job is 1/2 mile with the Bobcat using forks + strap. I think we've put in about 50 trees so far and more to come in the spring.

Weeping Willow
Virignia Pine
Loblolly* Pine
Black Gum
Sweet Gum
Oak
Maple
Cedar
Redbud

International: New govenor for the air brakes. Wouldn't build more then 20psi = spring brakes on and truck no move.

Chevy: Random, dead starter.

Towing two trucks + parts and labor around $900. Not to mention a solid day of down time.......spending vs earning. I'm just gald they were both able to get fixed and back home in the same day.....thanks shop guys!

Hello Mr. Mark!.....yeah my Dad said the same the same thing about not being due to an accident.

I lost $900 but that's ok.....part of the game. Can say I got off cheap for two trucks.

The good news is I'll still hit my weekly goal....just a speed bump to start off the weak.

The thing I don't like is I was going to get ahead of schedule by day and now I will not. I wanted that extra day as a weather allowance to make sure we wrap up before Christmas because I'm closing down for January.
