Old Business, New Manager
Time management. My company has four maintenance crews, each equipped with mowers, weedeaters, trimmers, etc. We do mostly commercial accounts; apartments, strip malls, and some residential accounts. My theory about time management is to divide them into specialty groups. A mowing crew, hedging crew, chemical crew, turf and color specialists and an irrigation crew. Lawn cutting and blowing is a weekly thing, but everything else is monthly at most. We seem to be a model of inefficiency; jacks of all trades, masters of none. Feedback for the greenhorn is much appreciated.

Just an idea....Have you thought about having 2 full time mowing crews to handle mow, edge, hedges, trimming, and blowing? Have one or 2 guys on a truck working on irrigation and spraying? Don't have all of the details, just kind of shooting from the hip here.
