Infeid Mix
Does any body out there have there infield mix made up of 60 to70% sand and if so what kind of sand and what is the playablity of the field. and has any body recently switched to this kind of mix from redshall or crushed stone.

I don't personally do any infields, but my friend and fellow grounds keeper does. He uses something comparable to Diamond Dust and has got excellent results from it.

Most guys around Ky use Marmix. I believe it has that % of sand. It has a nice color also.

Trim, really comes down to your budget. I would move as far away from sand as possible. The idea of infield conditioner is all about playability and safety. Sand is abrasive and not very absorbent, not the best palying conditions. If you can elaborate with more detail I can try to help you out. What part of Kansas you in?
