I raced GNCC(National cross country series) races for about 3 years. Since my business took off last year I have pretty much called it quits but will again when the time comes. Still enjoy riding though.

when I can

I just had mine out for Labor day, first time since last year in early winter. I swamped it last time I was out, got home changed the oil and started it up. It has sat for nearly a year since then, battery dead, jumped it with the mower. Started it up, drove around the yard, put it on the trailer and it ran good all weekend. Got to love a Honda!

I have a little Honda Recon ES that I use from time to time, got it about 2 years ago used its a 2004 and it looks brand new. I use it mostly around the house to pull my garden trailer and picup sticks and carry fertilizer and pine straw. I like the Recon because its small, has plenty of power for me and it fits in garage with all my lawn care junk. I used to have a Yamaha Blaster but injured myself on it and I sold it. The Blaster was tons of fun once I changed the rear tires out for smaller diameter low profile kevlar belted ones. I had install a FMF pipe (And jets) and a twist throttle.

nothing wrong about putting an atv to work
because it can be used for both work and play.

Thats how I sold the idea of getting a 4 wheeler to my wife. But hun, I can use it for work. I bought my 02 foreman used in 04 with under 40 hours. It's been great. I have thought about getting a little recon for the wife. My dad has one and it is a blast, so small and light. It steers nice and easy because it is a 2wd. I can zip through tight trails and bash it down through a creek bed and it just asks for more. Ops I hope my dad doesn't ever see that.

I followed my fried on his Sportsman 500 4x4 everywhere he went with my little Recon, I did have ground clearence issues where he didnt, but I just went around them. The Recon is a great little machine, simple engine with no timing chain to mess with.

If you get the Recon for wife, get the ES...its so easy to shift a caveman could do it!

We have suzuki 400 Eiger, Polaris 325 magnum and a suzuki vinson.
Went to an auction tonight and had final bid on a polaris 330 4x4 and a 500 sportsman 500. Won't know until tomorrow if we got them or not. Price was pretty low so won't be surprised if I don't get them. Also had last bid on two ski doo sleds that I don't really need either. Someone rides our every weekend.
