I just bought a 2001 Polaris Scrambler 500 4X4. I love it. It is such a snice machine. I ride it pretty much 3 or 4 times a week, sometimes more when the condition are good. My land borders a 1,000 acre town forrest with miles and miles of trails, mud bogs, mild jumps, straighaways, sand dunes, and rivers. You can also get out onto the powerlines (SHHHHH... don't tell anyone) and ride for around 100 miles. Yeah, I love every second of it! I just got back from a 20 mile run.

Bah, I'm jealous, that's the kind of land I want when I'm older... How about I buy a quad and come ride with you

Edit: back on topic, no I don't ride... have ridden an atv twice, but not on trails or anything, just around some small property. Looks like fun though.

My uncle had a Sportsman 500 HO and we have race a couple of times but my reaction time is much better lol. I beat him off the line and never look back. Mine is MUCH lighter and more compact than the Sportsman. It'll cut through the mud better and everything, but I just really like the look of the Sportsman. It does corner like a dream. I have never bought myself a toy, so this was my one splurge. My first ATV was junk, so i got this bad boy. Paid cash for it and walked out the door. Best decision I've made. When I'm having a bad day I jsut go out fora short ride and come back with a smile on my face. A few jumps and all my worries are gone.

I am so lucky to have all this land around me. I never have to trailer anywhere. When you buy one, look me up lol. I'm always looking for more people to ride with.

My old '96 Trailblazer was a beast. I had some brand new Maxxis Razrs on it and it would go anywhere I wanted it to, but when it got stuck, it was stuck. It was light enough to push but still a pain. The problem was it just never worked and would die on me in the middle of nowhere. The previous owner had trashed it. One time the throttle stuck wide open and then later that night the rear swingarm broke in half at 30 MPH, caught a root, and flipped me twice. Thank god for helmets. I'll never ride without a helmet.
