What I do on my 'Day off'

Some pics from earlier today. I have a friend with a large farm, and once in a while I blow off some steam by running silage trucks. The first two pics are another truck filling while I wait my turn, the third pic is the chopper (John Deere 7400, with 6 row corn head), and the last pic is through the windshield while we open up a field (The chopper is blowing the corn over my cab into the box)

Looks like fun. Missing haying. Miss hauling hay off the field.

Awesome. The corn looks a lot greener there than here.

We were chopping in Dryden, near Cortland. All of the big farms around here have started chopping (Actually, that was the second farm we finished this year, custom work) Most of the smaller farms are just getting started with corn. The farmer we were chopping for on this farm is a big bowhunter, and he wants all his corn done well before bowseason.
