Paver Saw???

We use EDCO. We have the 14" table saw that can be used wet or dry. You can also hook up a wet/dry vac to it to eliminate dust. Ours came w/ the adjustable stand. Best saw out there IMO.

Honestly, i almost think a table saw is a table saw. Just make sure you get a honda motor.

Absolutely right. I've used target tile saws for over 20 yrs and the honda motors long outlast the saw. Stihl for the hand held. Not my fav. but they do the job.

Our oldest saw is 6 yrs old.

it's an EDCO.

so take $2500 and divide that by 6. Not bad, doncha think?

Now....yes.....we have replaced the Honda engine about 2 times. But that is not EDCO's fault. The dust from the cutting will tear engines up if you do not use water.

I just bought a used Target Porta Saw last month for 1300. It is in great shape, was rarely ever rented, and cuts great.

out side of not having electric available, what is the reason for some of you guys using gas operated table saws??? To me it seems to be a pain having to always start and stop a motor before i make a cut. I have always had electricity available for my installs. Am i missing something?

Most 14" electric table saws run a 14amp motor. Which upon start up will pull all 15amps available to the outlet and trip the breaker almost every time, if it's a GFCI it will trip every time. Some electric saws also have internal thermal breakers on the engine itself. If you cut dry on a hot day it won't last very long at all. Then your waiting for the engine to cool down before you can start cutting again.
I got tired of #1 renting #2 overheating and #3 tripping breakers.
Now I know when I need to cut I'll be able to.

Gas powered table saws cut quicker, allow the use of water for extended blade life, and will never leave you sitting there waiting for the homeowner to come home and reset the breaker, if you can get a hold of them!

I remember those days of waiting for the homeowner and sometimes sneaking power from the neighbours!

We have a $4400 Edco and it is an awesome saw. Our paver work shows the precision. If you can afford it the gas model is the sh*t!!
