Little Wonder Problem

I bought a Little Wonder 6.5 hp self propelled lawn vacuum in 2006. The problem were having is when it's cold it will start right up. When you let it run for 30 min and shut it off it will not start. You let it cool down and it will start. Been going on since 2006 have been in contact with brigs and little wounder nobody seems to want to help. Has anybody had any problems with Little Wonder or know any thing about this problem. It's been back and forth from the shop and it's still there. Thanks

I'm on the verge of buying a little wonder sp vac. I am really curious if anyone else has had this problem before I spend the $.
Other than this issue are you happy with the job it does.
I'm either going to go with little wonder or billygoat.

I very glad what this little wounder can do but it's the problem we are having with this and can't see it find the problem. We have been doing more talk with briggs and little wonder. something is wrong with the motor and they won't fix the problem like i said since 2006.

I had that exact problem with a 21" mower.

I dropped it off and they said they adjusted the valves... now it works fine.

Engine numbers are always helpful.

Check to make sure you have as good of a spark when the engine is hot as you do when it's cold. Often ignition coils get heat sensitive and won't produce a sufficient spark when hot.

IF you prime the carb with a couple teaspoons worth of gas before you try a hot start, that would let you know if it's a fuel delivery problem instead of spark.

Also, a new spark plug is a pretty inexpensive way to throw money at it Might be worth a try?

As soon as it dies while it is still hot check the spark plug to fire. The coil may be getting hot and you are losing spark. When the coil cools down you get your spark back. Seen this happen a lot of times. If that is the problem I would be amazed by the fact no one that has worked on it found that out yet. When a machine comes into my shop with a problem such as the one you are talking about the first thing I do is to check the oil and fuel it up and let it run until it shuts down and do my testing while it is still hot. A heat related problem can not be found on a cold engine because the problem is not there to be found until it gets hot. I would have to say you have a bad coil just from what you have said so far.

Hmmm,

Would this engine happen to have the low oil alert system on it ?

No, i'm thinking it is a valve staying open and causing it not to start when it's hot after it cools down it will fire right up1
