Yes you are kind of right. It died once under warranty. Overload during edging kills it, got killed again recently during same job. this time i dont have warranty so tried fixing myself. Found the switch assembly is gone bad ( GFI kind of i guess ). I have a direct connection now works great, but with that speed the string often breaks, so looking to fix it.
