1997 Chevy, anti-lock brake problems

I have a 1997 Chevy 1 ton 4 x 4 flatbed . I'm just wondering if anyone has had a problem with anti - lock brakes engaging on the last few feet of stopping. This happens under normal braking on smooth and dry pavement. The first time the dealer replaced left and right front hub assembly, problem is in sensors. The truck had 26000 miles, repair was under warranty. Front hub assemblies are $1000.00 each.

Now, 11000 miles and 17 months later, my problem is back. The truck is out of warranty, and I do not want to put $2000.00 into the truck. I feel that only getting 11000 miles from a $2000.00 part is not acceptable.

Please let me know if you have experinced this, so I can let GM know they have a problem.

Had the problem on my 98 Chev., with the anti-lock feature not working at all. Replaced just the wheel speed sensor, (not the entire hub) and it corrected the problem. The sensor was like 20 bucks.
