Dynamic, my bad. I thought that your post was made by DEEREBOY14. That is a heck of a lot of insurance, more than what I have.

at 14 cut your parents lawn. the nieghbors lawn and other family/friends lawns.

You cant get insured. You cant get a business license and you cant get tax numbers.

Pressure washers can cause SERIOUs damage. Trees need to be trimmed safely and properly. At 14 I wouldnt not have listened to what people told me either but trust me on this. Stick to a couple of lawns... maybe upsell some flowers or other small services like clean ups or something and do it the best you can.

you will have plenty of time to perform these other services when your older

This!!! Plus, I'd never hire a 14 year old to do work that could result in damage to my home.

I don't think its really a matter of being mean but reality. But still some people will get him because he is a kid and likely has no insuance so he will likely be cheaper than us. This is where the biggest problem comes from in the landscaping/lawncare world. We all work hard and people want wo pay us 1980's prices because the other guy is cheaper. This other guy is the retiree who is trying to fill his day now, the kid on summer break, the teacher who is on summer break, or the shift worker. Most of these people (at least around me) are not insured and charge peanuts because they've already got another income and this is a space filler. We all have got to start reporting these people so every one works at an equal levels. People can say "well there only here for a couple of years and then they do something else or go out of business" but who wants to compete for less for a couple of years and when that person is gone then there is always another to fill that spot. Just my thoughts!
