This year's football field design

Every other year, we host the homecoming game against the local rivals. High school football's still a big deal here. Every year, we try to do something nice with the field but this is definitely the best we've done yet. My lead groundsman gets most of the credit. We sketched it up on paper together and I helped do some of the measuring and layout on the field but he worked out all the details and spent 4 days in the rain spraying paint.

The guys are even taking shifts to play security overnight so the local rivals don't do any damage. (One year they cut down the goal posts)

We've got the middle of the field tarped and we're not unveiling it till tomorrow so don't tell anybody. shhh.
