Castro 30w to Synthetic Castro oil

I have a 15 Kaw. twin with 120 hours on it. I change the oil every 40 hours using Castro 30w. Would it be possible to change from a natural oil to a synthetic oil at this point.

I would think so, its always best to stick with the same oil, especially when differing between synthetic and non, but your engine doesn't have that many hours on it. You probably only have changed your oil 4 times or so(once after 8 hrs and every 40 after.) I would switch.

Synthetic results...

I have a Kohler 25, sythetic oil used since first change, now at about 1800 hours.

Oil changed every 300 hours. (twice per year at 600/ yr).

We use Mobil 1 15w-50. Use it in everything- Mowers, my cars, the hydro on my Gravely 260Z's, and in the Diesel engine in my Mitsubishi-Fuso landscape truck.

I have a 17 hp, and a 23 hp kawasaki. I emailed eXmark about the synthetic oil and they said to wait until the engines had 200 hrs. on them, because the seals need to be seated before the synthetic oil is used.
