Transplanting CrapeMyrtles...
...out of a construction zone. They are 4-7 feet tall. I don't really need em but hate to see them go so I'll find a temp home for them til I need em. Only thing, on some of them all that I can get is the main root. Other words, it's like a sucker plant that shot up from the root near the surface. If I take these out with 4-6" of this main root on each side of plant, you think they'll live? I should say these roots are 3/4" to 1.5" in diameter. Thanks for any info.

If they are skimpy, maybe try for a minimum of a 16" diameter root ball.
