Mulch Prices
Im 15 years old and have been mowing lawns and landsaping for 4 years, and i get mulch at the contractors price, and i charge a addtional $20 for labor for every cuyd. I understand most people around me charge $30 additional, and i was wondering what you people charge, and if i should still be quite a bit cheaper than bigger companies due to my age

Do you charge 45-50 a yard including mulch and labor. I charge about 28 for mulch and 20 for labor so therefore- about $48 per cu yd.

I could never make any money mulching at 50 dollars a yard installed. I charge between $70- $90.00 per yard installed depending how much prep work is required. Mulching is not easy work....charge what your worth!

Depends on the mulch too.. Hardwood, hemlock , Cedar , Red cedar , Etc.. For hardwood Mulch I charge between $30 and $35 per yard, and then Depending on installation requirements, Average $35 per yard intallation.

When you say install, does that meen laying the mulch AND covering the price of the mulch

Time to pick up, clean beds, install mulch, drive back home, and clean up truck takes too much to only get $45-$50 per yard. I charge $60 to $80 per yard depending on prep work needed and how many yards I will be installing. Even at this, I don't make as good as I do cutting grass with the Lazer. I only do mulch for current customers, never for others. Just not that good of money in my opinion. All the time involved from start to finish not to mention pay for helper just doesn't make me want to do them.

I agree with evans528. I try to chage around $90/yard. Each job is different depending on amount of edging, shrubs, and terrain though.
