Here is a good suggestion, the 52" LazerHP w/ a 23hp Kohler<<<

The reason for the ridder vrs the W/B is:

1: the seat
2: the option of adding a leaf vac
3: option of pulling an aerater
4: able to mount a spreader on it
5: might be able to squease 1 or 2 more in a day
6: wont be as tired at the end of the day from standing

Lets put it this way, I mow a great deal of 1/2 acres lawns with a 60" and can see a big increase in it over a 52" hydro wb. But most of my accounts are well over that size.

A hydro 52" WB with a "Velke" would work fine to, but have to stand.

I think from what I have read you are on the right track. Good luck.

Go with the Lazer Z HP 52"!!!!!!

My main mower used to be a 48" Metro HP until I bought a new Emxark Lazer Z HP 52"/23hp Kaw late this summer. WOW, what a difference, I wish I would have started out with this machine, but just like you, I was in the same position where I couldn't justify the extra amount of money to upgrade to the ZTR. I thought that my Metro was just as productive as a 48" ZTR. I was wrong. Now I really appreciate the ease, comfort and the greatly increased productivity that the Lazer Z offers. At first I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to put the Lazer everywhere the Metro could go, but it turned out to not be a problem at all. The manuvurablity is awesome! I strongly encourage you try and get a Lazer Z HP and go with the 52".....not the 48", with the 48" the deck is barely wider than the rear tires, and you can find yourself "rubbing" trees with the tires when you get too close. My Metro HP only leaves the trailer 3 times a week now, and I am considering trading it in this spring and getting a 60" Lazer Z. I am a VERY happy Exmark owner!
