hmmm.

This being my first year on my own I bought:

2001 K2500HD w/ bedliner, mag. signs and other stuff.
8.5' Western MVP Plow
6.5' X 12' open trailer
52" Lesco walkbehind w/ Sulky
MTD 21" push mower
Craftsman edger (thier best one)
Kawasaki trimmer
Stihl 85 handheld blower/vac
A lot of mis. stuff: hand tools, parts, ad's, etc...

Everything above has been payed off with money saved and earned except for the truck.
Didnt take on to many jobs this year as I wanted to keep it light and see how things would go, mainly on the buisness aspect and to get a reputation. Overall it's been a great year.

Dont plan on getting anything major next year but would like:

nice hedge trimmers
roll blower
aerator
dethatcher
36" mower

Hey, it's Jim, publisher at TURF. As I've said I am not a LCO ... but I do have over 2 acres of weeds around the farm that -- if I mow weekly -- look just like a lawn (from a distance). Here in northern Vermont, the grass only grows for a few months ... but when it grows, it GROWS! Less than one mow a week and I'm cutting dandylions with my chainsaw.

So I followed lawnsite winter and spring and armed with your wisdom, I purchased a "crapsman" riding mower.

Next year? I'm gonna buy a lawn mower.
