Ok, now what are you getting into? Never seen an attatchment. Is it too big to use a Mclane. I've seen several on CL. Any reel mower is a maint nightmare.

I picked up 2 property's that have zoysia grass @ 2" high the guys that were cutting it were using a exmark mower and that is what I have. Just wanted to see if I should be using a reel mower on it. I found a website that sells a tow behind setup for $1,200 just don't no if I want to spend that much if I can cut it with my mower. What do ya'll do?

I cut all my zoysia at 2.5 with my 36 and they look great. I would use the 52 but any bump would probably scalp. Zoysia usually doesn't need a reel job. Now when you get a putting green yard of bermuda or centipede that's a different story. Anything less than 2" and you won't get a good cut with a rotary. Try it with the z at 3 and see how it looks.

Thanks for the info will try it @ 3" And see. One of the yards is an acre and has rolling hills on it and the other guy did scalp it on one of the hills that's how we got them. We start them on the 1st of Dec.

Technically yes. Some guys will tell u waste of money and you will never get caught. I will gladly spend the money. Look at the Pinellas county extension office website.

Hint, do not buy the books listed. They give you what you need on site. You also need to show proof of insurance.
