Strip Drain install

Okay first post here. I have installed french drains many times, however I am looking to change to the strip drains and sand backfill. Any round figures on install only. Also best price I can find on 6" strip is $1.00 linear foot from american-wick. ANything better out there? Thanks in advance for the help... tired of moving all that gravel!!! Also no reverse grade issues... these are all simple trenches about 9-12" deep. Before I would just charge for the backhoe time etc... this should be much simpler.
