Lawn renovation and fescue "clumps"
I had a fescue lawn that had gotten very thin and weedy. I had the soil analyzed then applied the required fert. The test called for 1500 lbs. lime I applied half last yr. and half this yr. I overseeded it with Falon fescue (50 # for 11k). It still wasn't thick enough. So this year I aerated and applied another 50#. Now the lawn is very thick and dark green The only thing that I don't like is that a few places has some fescue clumps left from the old Ky 31 from the old grass. My question is will these eventually go away or should I kill them? I know that Ky 31 will clump if not sown thick enough.

Yes they look bad, stick out like a sore thumb. There was a lot more but some are left.

If you don't like then, then do what Evan said kill em.
Then replant them 10 days later. |
