I usually do it in the fall but last year I was lazy, and I got some new equipment this year. Bought a 26hp hydro riding lawn mower for 400 bucks.

I ended up doing one salt run.

But I used the blowers to blow some of the powder that was on the driveways, worked great and they even tore up some of the thin ice that was under the snow.
