To rebuild or not to rebuild

Have any of you guys rebuilt 14 hp kawasaki's before. I have one sitting in my garage that was burning oil a little loud. I want to rebuild it for a spare when my other one goes. Are the parts expensive? Is it worth doing?

ring set is 36.00 std
x valve 40.00
I valve 13.00
head gsk-8.00
looks like 200.00 would catch most everything.

I didn't read about posting sites but try ww*.j-thomas.com
good luck.

thanks for the website, although I was unable to find the engine parts you listed. Are they in the catalog?

I didn't find the parts on jthomas's web site either. You'll have to order the catalog. And/or you can also tear it down and call them with a list of the parts you need.
