What's this truck worth? 7.3
My son has a 2000 7.3 powerstroke F350... 180,000 miles 4x4 Long Bed Automatic SRW not a dually
It is an extended cab XLT with power windows and power driver's seat.. It's tires are at 30-40% The motor is stock. He says it has a 5 inch exhaust (muffler can be put back on) straight piped, with bellowed up pipes (whatever that means lol), 4 inch down pipe, and a "fuel economy chip." I can attest to the fact that he did not ram rod the truck or rag it out. Mechanically, the truck runs GREAT. It has all new brakes all the way around, also new alternator and steering column.. It has a rusted out front fender, along with rusted cab corners and rust on the bed sides and doors on the bottom. What would you estimate the value at if he were to put it on craigslist. I might upload pictures tomorrow. I know the value is different everywhere, but I am looking for a ballpark figure. I looked at NADA and Blue Book but I just want to here from some other people first. Just a ball park figure.

What's this truck worth? 7.3
I saw a 99 f250 7.3 for sale In the summer for $5000 on my way through town for two days. It sold for $4500 to a landscaper I know. Last time I spoke with him he told me he had just driven the truck 2,400 miles to Ca plus 2,400 back. I wish I would've bought the truck.
I have seen others from 4,000 to 12,000 |

Think you could get atleat $5000, that 7.3 is a great motor. I would ask $6500 and see what kind of response you get, if the truck is in the shape that it sounds.

I agree ask $6500 and see what happens! Diesels hold there value pretty good up here! A buddy of mine sold a 99 exactly like that but little rust and 228,000 miles for $7200 before winter!!

I'd list it at 10k. I own one and won't let it go. The owners of 7.3s hold onto them. The ones for sale are usually really beat up... So if yours is in good shape you have a good shot at being paid well for it. As the new 50k diesels come out the older ones look better. No urea fluid or emissions crap to deal with. Shoot, they stopped making the 7.3 because of emissions, that's it. The engines are legendary.

did you guys miss the rusted out fender, cab corners, box sides and door bottoms in the op's description? sorry, but how a truck looks to most people [not me ,just most idiots looking for a truck] drastically effects re-sale value .

With the rust, and the chipped engine, that truck, down here, is worth maybe $3000.00, tops. I can buy them all day long like that with no rust, and no chips, for $2500 - $5000. Craigs list is filled with them here. The rust, and the chip in the engine computer, are price killers.

Traded my 2000 F350 crew cab 7.3 4x4 125k miles last month for $11,400. Dealer put it on the lot for $16,800. It was in good shape. Should give you a good idea of value
