New Kubota Brush Mower model K4080

It was announced today that Kubota Tractor Corporation and Valley Tool & Mfg. Co. have agreed to exclusive OEM distribution of the RockHound Attachment Brush Hound model 40EXT. The Brush Hound model 40EXT brush mower will be labeled for Kubota and sold through their construction equipment dealers in the United States. Soon to be known as the model K4080, this excavator attachment was specially designed for the 18.000 lb. Kubota KX080-3’s exceptional auxiliary hydraulic capabilities. The 40EXTreme is a severe duty brush shredder that weights 1350 lbs., has a 1/2” thick cutter drum with 5/8” ears holding 24 -2.25lb. outer knives and 12- 2lb. inside knives. Located in a spiral configuration retained with 1” grade 8 blade bolts with a castle nut roll pin retention system. The integrated thumb saddle is a structural motor cover that allows the second auxiliary hydraulic circuit to be used in conjunction with the optional thumb to pick-up debris and move obstacles as part of the brush shredding process. Safety and reliability plus low operating cost make the prefect match for the Kubota model KX080.3 according to Tom Madden, Valley Tool & Mfg. Co. Sales Director. This extreme design came as a result of “just shorten the 50EXHD” idea Fred Brenda, President of Valley Tool & Mfg. Co., suggested late in the product design sessions. Development was fast tracked by utilizing an already proven high horsepower current model and redesigning the attachments hydraulics to match the KX080-3’s. This redesign, along with the integrated thumb saddle and severe duty material selection insuring the attachments strength without exceeding weight goals, took only 9 months. While testing was being performed both in New Hampshire and California.
