Corn Speedwell Dilemna

I seem to have some problem areas with an aggressive corn speedwell problem this year.It seems that we see the problem much more after a mild winter such as this year. I believe that corn speedwell is a winter annual that could be controlled with a pre-emergent.Does anyone have any experience with this control?

I try to avoid pre-emergemts because of the inability to apply grass seed for several months as an overseed or spot seed situation.I would prefer to knock this stuff down by spot appying with a tank sprayer only where I need it,post emergent style.Has anyone done this?

The turf areas in question are very healthy and with good density. The light colored flowers are really taking away from what should some really good lawn areas this time of year.

Veronica is tough. A winter annual--dies in the heat, but...
Drive herbicide does a good job on Veronica. Take a look at the label--last page.
