Question Need to upgrade for Church Property mowing

I am putting information in this forum since it seems closest to what I am responsible. I have been elected as head trustee of our church and we have about 5 acres around the church with quite a bit of open and and also some trees in the open and a lot around the perimeter.
Currently trying to do it with a older 38" John Deere and Craftsman.

The time has come to upgrade. Budget is in the 5,000 range.
Recommendations are very much appreciated.

If you have a Hustler dealer nearby, you can get a Fastrack Super Duty 54" with a 25 hp Kawisaki for around $5600-5700 if you can talk the dealer down off the list price.

Hustler Dealer

I will check it out. I know there is an Xmark and scag.
Need something that will ride over the mole runs. We only fertilize two times a year. It is about 50/50 weeds and grass. U know how thoughts go, the more you fertilize the more you have to mow. I disagree. It will take time to turn this mess around. In the meantime need something I can depend on an the people who are willing to mow can run without a long training session. I have 6 men on schedule now and it takes at least two days...like 4 hours a day on volunteer basis/

with 5 grand find a good used commercial ztr. Exmark, Scag, Hustler it should take a few hours to train the guys. It would be better though to have two guys who knew how to run the mower. 5 acres would take you about 3 hours to cut on a good ztr

Recommendations appreciated

I agree with having less people. Of course the reason for the number now is the length of time it takes with what we are using. Is there one or two brands that are more user friendly as far as self maintenance. I am speaking of routine service, changing blades, things of that nature.

I would see if you could get something off of the state bid list if you qualify. If would knock off 15 to 20%.

State Bid List No No

We are not educational institution so would not qualify.

Will just have to take the best deal on best equipment within our budget of 3-4k.

Did you have to cut your budget? In your first post budget was 5k.
Sounds like my church. If you have enough deacons' meetings we'll talk ourselves out of anything.
