Cclc 2012
It's been slow the past week or so, I have been working on a "patio-ish" job for a woman. I hate that "weedblock" stuff but I cant spray preventative and the client wanted to save money, so I went with it anyways. The rain has been messing with the mowing this week so I dont have very many pics for this week haha.

The job was to fix an area where an old pool used to sit , 10 years ago. She wanted to have an area the place a fire pit in the center of it. It's a weird idea on her part to me

Thats my philosophy, I dont get very many landscaping jobs, so the ones that I can get I usually willl take. I hope that by doing good work people will refer me and lead to even more!

did you take out the sod or just put the fabric on the grass. It looks like the edging is sticking up pretty far thats why i ask.

This is a similar one we did last year. We did not build the pit though. We just cut a natural edge into the sod and laid fabric, then put #1 gravel in. It's all preference really, just showing you what we did.

Thanks for the replies, the area was an old pool that was taken down 10 years ago, they had never removed any of the sand of old plastic liner so there was no grass in the area. I had removed 3 inches of sand and dirt which was suggested by another member on the site. The area had no vegetation in it at all so the was a lot of prep work involved. I took the pic before the edging and fabric was stapled down. That is exactly how the client wanted it to come out, looks like a you do very nice work! I quoted her for the edging to be installed because I also maintain the property and really dont feel like flinging gravel all over the yard every time I mow haha

Thank god you aren't responsible for that pit. Hideous. I guess the person who installed it has never heard of a level and was blind.
