If you haven't already seen some of my earlier vids, here's a chance to get caught up. I use both PhotoBucket and YouTube, but now I will also use Google Video as most of my vids will be over the 10 minute time frame that YouTube limits.

The first one I made, 14 minutes long, I set up the camera on the side of a barn and hit "record", at 3:13, you can hear Drag Racing at the local Mission Raceway Park, just across the Fraser River:

Wow, I never realized a Cat 247B2MTL was that gutless even with the baby bucket on it.

A 700 pound 68" combo bucket will really rob any machine of power! Even my old T190 was a zippy pig when I just used the C/I bucket.

68" bucket ????? WHAT they put bigger buckets than that on Tonka toys.

The issue is actually you don't have any power to begin with in either the 247 or the T190. Adding 700 pounds just makes them both even more anemic. Next time Ron you need to step up to a machine that makes real power (CASE 440 90 hp gross and 288 foot/pounds) you will never have issues with power again and you can leave the little buckets for your Tonka toys.

No thanks, with diesel prices now, extra power costs extra money, I'm just sipping the fuel now compared to my T190.

You are wright in that one, we have a Case 95XT on the farm with the same engine as that 440 and let me tell you it has power but it is very thirsty. If you run is full throttle moving dirt then at about 6 Hrs. you need to feed the beast. I think it usually takes about 25 gallons or so. My Takeuchi goes 8 hours and only uses about 14 gallons when running hard.

The 440 does not use fuel like the 95XT/465. I get about 9 hours out of 22 gal. tank on the 440. I cant explain why the 440 uses so much less fuel with the same power plant. I found the same with the 70XT. Also fuel economy is best measured by material moved in an hour not gallons used per hour. Its the work done that matters.

I get 8 hours on 17 gallons moving soil and I work the throttle pedal.
