THIS IS THE TRUTH

Today i finished filling out 3 pages of information on the accident report and brought a copy to the police then another copy to my insurance agency and my agent put me on the ph. with the ins. co. and i went through the whole process for filing the claim etc....

I left and went to do a few errands and i was on the same street where i got rear ended 2 days ago. A vehicle in the left lane coming the opposite direction was stopped to let 2 pedestrians cross so i stopped also and BANG!!! i get rear ended AGAIN

So i pull off the rd into a parking lot and get out. its a guy in a black minivan. He hit my trailer hitch and the hitch smashed a hole into his plastic bumper and damaged it. My truck was fine. He said he didn't see the 2 people crossing the street and i stopped so anyway everyone was fine. I left in amazement that i got rear-ended only a few hundred ft. from where got hit 2 days ago.

Definity. the hitch prevents damage from cars but when hit by a truck the same size or larger it isn't as effective.

Obviously, but he didnt hit you from straight on, he probably woulda had more substantial damage if he hit it straight on like that van...

Dang I would be avoiding that street for a while. I was thinking about putting reflective tape on my tailgate toward the bottom. My dad said it would look stupid. I might still do it someday
