This is Freyja. She was the best dog I've ever had. Sadly I lost her recently.

I appreciate the sentiment KC. Actually I had to get her her own best buddy.
Freyja was a full blown Newfoundland, she tipped the scales about 165. We were real active in the Newfoundland club in your neck of the woods. She marched in the American Royal parade every year, and we trained and certified Newfies from all over the country in Olathe lake every summer.
KCMO used to hold a day at the park event called Dogtoberfest every year and Freyja just loved to meet the little dogs but they were understandably freaked when she would go nose to nose with them. I could tell it would break her heart they wouldn't be her friend so we went out and got her her own little buddy, a miniature schnauzer. So I still have the schnauzer, but she thinks she's a Newf!

Its sad that i have lived in KC all my life and i have not attened dogtoberfest. Thats awsome that you marched in the american royal. My unlce rides in it every year.
