My new Vehicle
I was driving around an 89 Bronco II with 310k miles on it. I really needed something realiable, yet efficient enough for the growth of my business, and I wanted something really cheap.
Well, I found this for $2,900.00. Its a 97 GMC Jimmy, 4x4 with 52k miles on it. Barely even broken in! I have the back loaded with rubber matting which allowas me to have a 3x5ft bed. Its the 4.3L vortec V6. I cant even feel my trailer fully loaded. With some touch up paint, a buffer, 3.5" of lift, and 31x10.5 mud tires. Here you have it!

That was pretty much a steal for 3k if it is clean and wasnt abused. For 3k, you will not find very many vehicles with that amount of mileage. Gas sucks on the 4.3 but they are good engines. Congrats on the good find.

Wow great find! I know the Blazer (Chevy's model of the Jimmy) usually holds their value really well. I've seen some 95's around here with 100K+ miles that go for around 4-5K. The color and everything fit the lawn care "picture" I guess you can call it. And thank you, like me, you've proved that not everyone needs a truck for the job. I drive a 95 Ford Explorer that I got for 600 bucks!

Wouldn't a used pick up be better for this business?

Yes it would have. But would you give me the money for a 50k mile, 1997, 4x4 truck??? I dont think so. Theres nothing this thing cant do that a truck could. And I get 190hp and 250ftlbs of torque with 17mpg gas milage on a light weight vehicle. Works out better in every category. Now Ill focus on getting a better mower.

Not to mention its power seats, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, and the a/c is ice cold unlike my a/c in the Bronco(no a/c)

It will never see 17 mpg pulling a trailer.
