It snowed here the other day (HATTIESBURG MS ) i just went to do some pruning at my Hotel account and the Rye grass is completely dead and i know the owner doesn't know yet. SO i am trying to find some facts out that way i can tell him whats going on. Does any body know?

Is this a perennial rye (Lolium perenne L.)? If so, we grow it here and have good success at temps as low as 10 F.

Perrenial rye survives months of winter with temps as low as -30f here. It will grow as long as the temp is above 32f.
