Ok, I went to start my toro(21in heavy duty commercial) and i heard a pop and then the lever on the handle was real easy to squeeze, so I tried to start it and nothin happened. So when I got home I looked over it and could see nothin wrong. So then I dropped the crankcase cover and took everythin off(crankcase cover, the thing the blade sits on, the wheel that the belt rides on) and then I thought, maybe the belt is messed up, but the belt was fine. So then I looked over it even more and found out that what was actually wrong was a broken cable. So I went and bought a new cable(brake cable the one that allows it to start and stop). Today, I replaced the cable, then went to start it and when I pulled the string, a squeaking noise sounded. Pulled again, same thing, and it never fired up. So then I went and dropped everythin again under the crankcase since thats where the noise is coming from and now I cant seem to get the wheel that the belt rides on. Anybody have any ideas why this sound could be heard and what could be causing it. And why the wheel that the belt rides on wont come off. Please help.

Sounds like your Operator Presence Control (OPC) cable broke. It does 2 things when released, grounds out the ignition and engage the flywheel brake. It sounds like your new cable is not adjusted properly. It needs to be tightened.

ok, i bought the one that runs on the left side of the handle. so how do i go about adjustin it?
