Irrigation Survey

Anyone else get this in their email?

Irrigation Association:
Certified Irrigation Contractor Survey

This is your opportunity to provide key input into the review of the irrigation contractor examination. Irrigation Association (IA), with assistance from Schroeder Measurement Technologies, is conducting an on-line job analysis survey. The purpose of the job analysis is to identify job, task, and knowledge elements that are relevant or performed by irrigation contractors in their practice. It is vitally important to ensure that the examination reflects actual practices. That is why we are asking for your participation.

Your responses will ensure that wide ranges of practices within the field are truly represented. We ask that you set aside 15 to 20 minutes of your time to complete the on-line survey. Responses are completely confidential and only information that describes groups of participants will be reported.

Nope. But then our local IA chapter is more of a brew 'n' b!tch organization than anything else, and FLIA doesn't recognize the Panhandle as being part of Florida.

Just looked at the survey, it's pretty comprehensive but also seems kind of lame in that the obvious answer to all questions should be "Extremely important". I guess it would depend on which segments of our trade you work in - design not important to a repair-only guy, etc.

Flame away.
