New Wright Stander - Hydro Tank Breather Vent

I just bought my first wright stander today and it ran great! However, after I was finished with my route I noticed that it looked like there had been oil leaking down near the bottom of the engine. After looking more closely and referring to my parts guide, it appears that the oily (i'm assuming hydro fluid) substance leaked from the Hydro Tank Breather. Is this a normal occurence as it appeared to leak a good amount of fluid? Thanks for any responses.

-Jeff

JeffMOw,

This is an issue we are aware of and we are currently finalizing the fix. Can you tell us who your dealer is and I will contact them and let them know what needs to be done to fix this issue.

Best Regards

My Dealer was O'Dell tractor in Independence, MO. In the meantime is there anything I can do to fix the problem? And would this be covered under warranty if not? Thanks for the quick response!

JeffMOw,

We spoke with O'Dell and have explained what needs to be done and have sent the part needed to address the issue. It will be covered under warranty, and the part should be there by Friday.

I haven't experienced the problem the original poster did, but is this an issue that all wright owners should get fixed? If so, what do I tell my local dealer?

dballs,

This has been a sporadic issue and only on some units with the vent cap style tanks. If you experience oil seeping from the vent cap we have a modified version that can be swapped for the original version vent cap. We haven't seen it get even close to a point were the hydro system would develope an issue but if unnoticed over time a problem could occur. If a vent cap style tank seems to be seeping oil go to your dealer and have them order part number 36410011 for the modified vent cap (will be covered as a warranty).

Best Regards

wright5223,

We know of the Stillwell and Grain Valley locations, did you mean Stillwell, KS.? Or is Stanley actually one of these locations?

Best Regards
