ZTR for rolling?

I use my exmarks that I use to have for rolling yards It was a 26 hp FI Kohler and it worked well except on hills. I have always been told not to do so cause it can screw the tranny and mess up the hydro unit. I did it taking a chance and living and learning. I have not had any problems so far and I now use my friends lawn tractor to do it with but just wondering if anyone else does so and if they have had any problems?

I have a lawn roller I pull behind the ZTR's

Did a sod job and rolled the entire lawn with the Lazer.

Fill drum with water and works great.
