I have the els on tiger cub, good engine just not as commercial as the vangaurd. Go w/ a kohler if that is an option.

Only about 60 hours on my new ELS engine and already problems have started. Never would I go with a briggs again only kohler or kawi.

the Vanguard engine will be much better, no problems with either so far.

One really nice thing about the vanguard motors is they consistently start easy. There's no magic choke or throttle position that you need to find to get an easy start out of them, (on average)
