Brad, you're the one who said you did it for extremely discounted prices...so ya that comes across as doing it dirt cheap.

Good luck with your business.

I can discount things to where I still make enough. I don't do things cheap let alone dirt cheap. cheap and discounts are 2 different things

Look at it this way if you have a small yard say 8k square feet and you charge 30 bucks. this yard takes you approx 10 min with 2 guys. Youcant make that kind of production and keep the price high with a place thats 3 acres. Sometimes the smaller jobs are better. But in some cases the bigger jobs are. Just depends on the job.
Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but why do you guys even unload for $30?? I don't care how small, if I can't get $50 minimum I will leave my stuff on the trailer. With one exception. I mow an auto parts store for $35 that takes about ten minutes because I get all of my parts and such at cost...It pays in the long run.

Around here there is ALOT of competition also I am solo so no overhead. It all works for me very well. I did not take offense to what you said. Everyone lives in different areas.

25 used to be my minimum now its 30. For the tiny lawns you can't get much more around here most guys do them for 15 or 20. Lawns at least around me are lowballed pretty bad I am luckly to have the customers I have the average size lawn here is $35 and when you can do 2 in close to an hour thats pretty good.

I'm glad I quit school and went fully commercial/city. I don't have any residential mowing.
