Great work man! I read threw the whole thread over the past week, and nice work, and sharp trucks and equipment! We are both the same age and i love to see guys like us who work hard and have great success! And i had a question about your dump truck, how does it do when you load it around 5 tons, does it grunt to lift it at all? I had an electric over hydro on my f-superduty and the muncie pump ran off the fan belt and after changing clutch packs every year (because they would wear out every five dumps lol) it wouldnt pick up 2 tons, but mine has a 5 speed tranny so i put a pto pump on it and it will lift way more than you can put on the truck with ease 6+ tons (i only haul 5 or so on it) but i understand yours is electric and i was just wondering how it does, my ez dump is electric but doesnt have the pump i seen on yours in your pics (mine will do like 2 ton its on a 3/4 ton pickup) sorry for the long post, but once again nice work man!

Most I ever put in it was like 4.5 ton and thats way over capacity. Truck holds it fine and dumps it fine never struggled at all but when I have that big of a load the truck itself driving has alot of trouble. We have alot of hilly terrain here and the truck struggles going up hills loaded.

I hate overloading our one ton as well, it seems to happen more than it should with us but mine has 10 lug wheels so it will hold a good 5 ton and drive great (i know ill catch heck for saying that we haul 5 ton lol) but hey we buy them to work right? And great pics ! I love that 3500 and you may have answered before but is it 4x4?

yes its 4x4 wouldn't buy one without it probably because of the hills around here in the winter

I know whats hard to find these days is a 4x4 5speed one ton pto dump, ive been searching for a while and you can always find the older late 80's chevys, but it seems no one uses the pto dumps in newer trucks as much, ive found a bunch of 2wd but not any 4x4 close to me any way, i was at the gie expo looking at the chevy booth, checking out a brand new 3500 (and drooling lol) and i had heard that the automatic alison tranny has a place on the side of it for a pto, and i asked the sales rep about it, and the guy looks at me and says "Pto ? what are you talking about" 3 reps later this older gentleman said that they do but something about all of them will have the plate but something about the vin # has to have a certain # or it wont actually have the plate hook up, but he said they work well winches etc. but he didn't know about a dump body? You ever have any experience with that? Or know someone who has tht set up?

I know chevy no longer has manual trucks I am not sure on the PTO stuff because mine is electric but I do know my next truck with be setup with central hydraulics

Couple new echo pieces I picked up last month and new tires for the lawn trailer. Got a fair amount of work I have to do to the trailer too I will probably try to start next week
