Painting lawns

Anyone here in the south with warm season lawns that go dormant paint them? I saw a couple of houses do this last year, one looked Great! The other looked like crap.

Was wandering if anyone did this and where they might get the paint to do it with. The number one complaint about warm season grasses here, which is the main grass grown, is they want a green lawn year round.

I may have found the answer...

here's another--overseed with annual rye! I hate how wet it gets and never dries out-but that would be my pick over paint--haven't seen it either though.

rye is used from time to time but noone likes to use it... there are problems with this such as no pre-m for winter weeds and the such. I have found other issues with it, I don't offer it and don't plan on doing it any time. I think proper coverage is an issue as well.
