Maybe someone is stealing the gas and putting water in it's place.

Watch where you fill up at if your having problems with water in your gas. Its not very uncommon (although illegal) for shady gas stations to put a little water in their tanks to increase their profits. A local station near me has been caught twice for this.

Ethanol is the equipment dealer's best friend.

Avoid all e-fuels!

Another rubbish-like ethanol thread slamming home grown fuel in lieu of foreign oil
Real smart
Give it a break guys, its the best attempt thus far at gaining a smidge of independence from foreign oil. THE best attempt, perhaps not, but at least we are trying.
I have run 10% eth. in my equipment two years straight now no problems whatsoever.

May this thread end here......

I had heard that it basically "bonds" to water and can make water in your gas (somehow). I am no mechanic, but my mechanic was really griping about it. He said right now we'll see the effects of the two-cycles and they're going nuts already-later the bigger stuff and eventually even in our vehicles! Is there anyone who knows anything about this?
Sir - what you are hearing is ignorance. Ask someone who knows something about the fuel - from in the Midwest preferrably.

Sir-

I am hearing this from a reputable repair shop that is certified to the MAX in its repairs. I also am hearing this from people who work FIRSTHAND in the petroleum industry. This person got some fuel from one of these ethanol places and tested it--guess what-? 5% water content!! Tell me, SIR, what machine can continuosly run on 5% WATER!!!???!!! I am no mechanic, but everyone who is in the know seems to say stay away from this stuff. I realize that we should distance ourselves from foreign oil ties-that's a given, but we either need machines that will run on this CRAP or run straight gas! IMO!

I didn't expect anyone to go postal on me....jeez.
And you spoke to someone in the PETROLEUM INDUSTRY.
Of course they are going to badmouth ethanol and may skew information. They are competing with ethanol for energy dollars.
Like I said, speak to someone who knows about ethanol, not a competitor who will feed you a line.

Disclaimer - I am from Minnesota who is one of the leading states in the nation in promoting and developing alterative fuel sources like ethanol. And darn proud of it.
