i bought my first trailer from limberger trailers in ellington Ct. it was a 5 by 10 big tex and it was $999 i think. they are a huge trailer dealer and sell tons of them, if you want to take a little ride down to Ct, you should check them out.

Too high

If i were you, i'd shop around a lot more. $700.00 is very high for a used 4x8 trailer. Trailers are easy to come by and are easy to maintain. There is no reason that you can't get a 6x12 for like $200-500, i have. But $700.00 for a small 4x8 is WAYY too much.

sounds expensive for my area

hi....Im not sure what the prices are like in boston but i live in western KY.....I bought my first trailer 5 yrs ago. It was a 16' x 6' tandem without brakes and gates, and ran me 799.00 I added the gates seperately for 400.....this year i bought a 12' x 6' single axle with back gate and no brakes for 650. Both bought brand new.

there are a couple of different guys around here that take a trip to the trailer manufacturers and get as many as they can carry. bring them home and put used tires on them......this may be why they are so cheap....maybe just the location and cost of living, seriously doubt it though.....just my opinion and hope this helps

Ask other landscape companies or better yet when you see one, ask them where they got and how much. Heck, at that price, I could sell my trailer from 7 years ago at a profit, even considering the condition it is in.

Trailers are a lot cheaper in the South. I bought my last one on a drive back from Florida. Around here in CT I find 16 footers around $1500 new. Used they can be found for $500. Smaller trailers can be found for well under that. Try www.bargainnews.com may be worth a trip to CT.

i bought mine a few weeks ago and got what i think is a good deal. it's a 6x12 tilt with a decent front beam setup, not a single arm to the latch, standard V type. it's mesh, single axle and was used once. the person bought it and went from memphis to NC and back. brand new 15" wheels and tires in mint shape. i paid 600 plus tax for it. it's a 2001 model according to the paperwork. i just need a gate built for it.

I sure wish I could find prices like that out west. You can't touch a tandem 16 footer for under $1,500 out here. Used trailers are next to impossible to find here as well. An example, I found a used 20' tandem for $2,500. I can buy a new 20' for $2200.

I will be buying a trailer in a month or two. To get a 20' set up the way I want will be close to $4,000. So I guess I'm going to buy a stripped model and do all the gates, sides, etc. myself.

I bought a brand new 5x10 for 1700$ at Signal Trailers in Everett,Wa. Should have bought the 6x12 but they wanted 3,500 for it.
