Anchor Diamond Pro in Texas

I have been using diamond pro block made by Pavestone in Dallas and after 90 pallets of block we had a quality failure rate of about 35%. After talking to Pavestone and Anchor Reps, we found out that what we call junk at home is a perfectly acceptable product in Texas.
When stacking the block the sides may touch top to bottom or have a gap up to 2", it seems that contractors don't complain so nothing is done to improve the product.

Is this common in other parts of the country? I have used anchor products from Omaha, St.Louis, Mobile and Kansas City and have never had a problem.

We've used the 6" Diamond on a few jobs out of the Denver (actually Brighton) plant and they've been just fine.
