How Do You Trim Trunk Around Palm Tree???

I was wondering how you scrape the trunks around a palm tree. my customers have it done to some of the palms and want the others the same way. It looks like you use a blade to scrape around it or something. Id really appreciate any advice, thanks.

You have to use some big machete to take those dead hulls off. Guess that is what you are taking about?

You use a razor knife or carpet cutter. You just keep slicing in very small increments and the base of the frawns just fall away. The frawns need to be dead and dried. You don't want to be doing it when you get to the white fleshy tissue you can kill the tree. Usually keep about a 18" "Pineapple" just be sure you are uniform with your cuts so the Pineapple looks good.
