Getting fliers ready.

Starting to make up my fliers for this season. Kind of nervous since I've never handed out fliers since this is my 2nd yr. in business, 1st yr. full time. Hoping people won't come crashing through their front door just mad as h#ll, and threatening me for putting a flier on their door. What are some of the bad experiences have you encountered, if any.

Its seems about 1 in a 1000 you will run into someone who will say "don't leave that crap here", "whatever yer sellin jist keep movin", or something like that. Just wish them a nice day and move along. 9 years and 50,000+ flyers I was never threatened. I don't enter gated front lawns. Wandering dogs are a bigger problem than people, pepper spray is a good idea in case you run into a mean one.. Never had to use my though.
Most people are friendly and if you wear a uniform it makes a big difference.
If you want people to notice your faults, start giving advice.

This might sound obvious, but avoid no solicitation signs. Fliers constitute solicitation as much as knocking on the door.
