Clip Needed

Anyone know of a clip that works well with gutters that have screens on them? I need to put some icecicle lights up for a couple of clients and its been a pain trying to find one that works well. thanks

Just place the lights a row or two up on the shingles instead of on the gutter....
(I know I got this idea from someone else here, so I admit it's not mine)

Icicle lights might not do that well with moving them up onto the shingles. It may mess with how the drops hang. Sorry should have mentioned that before.

We have a job that has screeens on them, we just take the screens out. They are not permanently secured so it is not that difficult.

We also have one that has the permanent mount kind and we managed to get the all in ones to slide between the guard and the gutter. Held for 2 years in a row without any problems.

If these are strand type icicles, and not steel framed ones, I'll bet simple medium binder clips will work. They are black, so not pretty, but will open wide enough to go over your wire and the lip of the gutter.

steel frame icicles will have to be screws, and the ones made for metal buildings are available in white and do a good job of piercing the metal of the gutter and thread well, and blend the best. Lowes used to sell big bags of them for 20 bucks, but I think you have to order them now or buy small quantities.

most gutter supply places will have those screws. You can also get them to match the color of the gutters if you wish.
