Is this a fair deal on a Hustler Mini Z?

2003 model, 44" deck, has the mulch kit and suspension seat. It has 165 total hours on it, is homeowner owned and has been garage kept. Has the Kaw 19HP engine.. The owner has all the original parts (side chute, seat etc) that came with it and a couple spare sets of blades.

$3000.00 firm is his asking price

Let me know guys cause I have to make a decision by tomorrow as I'm also looking at a Exmark Laser Z HP (2003 model also) with 600hrs on the mower and a new Kohler 23HP engine. This one has been commercially used and although runs and cuts great it looks like crap because the paint has faded very badly. same price as the minty looking low hour Hustler... same size deck also.

i would choose the hustler( wish i still had my mini z) , i have mowed with many others ferris, exmark, lesco, etc. and the mini z hydro pumps are by far the best, the ferris was brand new and bogged badly on hills , the lower center of gravity and hydros on the hustler excel on hills , it has a higher blade tip speed and ground speed than the exmark. Plus you'd prolly get another 2,000 hours out of it. if the exmarks engine was replaced at 600 hours it was clearly abused

plus the hustler is powdercoated, and the suspension seat helps ALOT. like a $500 option , with a ground speed of 12mph mine would rattle me without the seat

Get the Hustler.....A homeowner more then likely has taken good care of it. It has way less hours then the Exmark and the Exmark has been used commercially. It's a no brainer.

I vote for the Hustler too. I wanted to get one but found a good deal on a used JD. You can fill us in on how you like it cause I might get a new one in a few years. My JD came from a homeowner and was very well taken care of except for a minor oil leak.

I'm pretty certain the Hustler Mini Z is a 42" deck.
