edging under deck
I'm going to be edging under deck after I apply landscape fabric and 3/4 washed stone. This has a walk out basement under deck I'm not sure what type of edging I should use if any. I just thought I may need something to hold in the washed stone. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks

Metal Edging would be more than sufficient and the easiest to deal with.
The only thing I suggest with the metal is spading a small groove for it to fit into so it's not sticking up too high. Lowe's has col met metal edging available.

It would also be easier to install the edging BEFORE you put the fabric and rock down... But, from the wording of your post, the rock is already in, so I guess you get to shovel and rake it back to allow room to set the edge in place.
The metal edging should work well. A lot of the landscapers around here use a plastic edging (Cobra edge, if I recall) that's extremely heavy duty stuff, not anything like the crap you get in the little rolls at the home stores. It has a 1" round top and dosn't warp up. |
